Thud!

Quinn's second day without a pacifier was not as easy as her first night. When she was put down for a nap she had a complete meltdown during which she climbed out of her crib and leaped into my arms. That night we converted her bed from a crib into a toddler bed. That night she went down somewhat easily. The third day Quinn had a hard time grasping that she should stay in her bed. After a three hour struggle I was at my wit's end and Quinn went without a nap for the day. That night, Mike put her down after about an hour. An hour later while we were eating dinner we heard a loud thud from above.... Mike went up and found her still passed out asleep after falling out of her bed. What a sound sleeper we have in our big girl. It's been a hard week for Quinn with all of the potty training, pacifier removal and crib-to-toddler-bed-conversion. Here's hoping that it get's easier!

  1. haha! Wow, she sleeps like i do! Miles has been in a toddler bed for a while now. What i have done to keep Miles at least in his room for naps and at night is a baby gate. He will cry (sometimes what seems like forever), but will eventually give up and get in his bed. Maybe not your style, but it works for us!

  2. Sounds like a rough week. Hope she's doing OK. Sounds like she's really progressing since SLICC days. Kate's still in the crib. As long as she can't climb out, it's still our best option, at least until the next baby comes and needs the crib. She still has her pacis at night, too. And she's still not potty trained. (I'm feeling a little behind here!)
