Parents' Night Out

This past Saturday we went to dinner at Perry's Steakhouse. The food and the service were great! I would recommend Perry's for any special occasion. We happened to be celebrating a late Mother's Day Dinner compliments of Mike's parents who watched the girls for us as well. What a treat!

Miles and Quinn Together Again

Miles and Quinn got together this weekend to have fun in the sun while playing the sprinkler. This is the first time they have gotten to play together since Quinn left SLICC (her daycare). They are already planning their next playdate since they had so much fun!

Our New-to-Us Car

We have a new-to-us car! After much shopping and reviewing of Consumer Reports we pulled the trigger! We purchased a 2006 Mercedes R Class. We had considered and test driven the Acura MDX, Honda Pilot and GMC Acadia. They each had their strong points but we knew this was our car before we even got to test drive her. She's Heather's favorite color and is fully loaded. Wesley loves the air flow and doesn't scream constantly like she did in our Commander. The center row has captains chairs (for easy access to the third row), the sun roof is the entire lenght of the car and it rides like a dream. Now we just need to think of a proper name for her!

Summer Harvest is Coming

Our garden is loving this summer-like weather and going crazy.

Figs abound! Looks like I might be making some preserves.

Here are the lettuces, arugula, chard and beets.

Tomatoes, Cantaloupe, Pumpkin, Squash, Cucumber and Green Beans are soon to come!

Four Generations

The McClure girls and Mom-oh headed to the DC area this past weekend to visit Great Mom-oh. This was Wesley's first plane ride and she was a trooper - sleeping and babbling the entire flight. Quinn stayed busy by playing with and snacking on play-dough.

This picture shows four generations of girls in our family including Heather's cousin, Jennifer.

Here's Great Mom-oh with the babies. She was very excited to see them and enjoyed trying to play with Quinn. She even held Wesley for a minute or so!

Quinn, Great Mom-oh and her "grab-all".

Here's how Quinn entertained herself when she was bored in the nursing home - she took her clothes off. This was after playing with all the stuffed animals and knick knacks in the room and chatting with all of Great Mom-oh's neighbors. Quinn even got to go on a wheelchair ride.
